2010 Pillars of the Alliance

Each year a few companies or individuals make an extra investment in the Cultural Alliance. They are recognized as Pillars of the Alliance for their leadership in the Matching Gifts Program with special notation in member organization program materials. The funds invested are placed in the Cultural Alliance Operating Reserve Fund and/or Cultural Alliance Endowment Fund. These funds are used to provide income to the operations of the Cultural Alliance, thus reducing the administrative expense burden.
The total amount invested annually by the Pillars is used to offer extra incentives to the donors of the Cultural Alliance Annual Corporate Campaign. If a company increases their annual investment in the Cultural Alliance over the previous year, the amount of the increase will be doubled when the company's investment is published in member organization program materials, or Cultural Alliance materials. This means that companies increasing their annual investment in the Cultural Alliance get the benefit of recognition at a higher level.
